Yesterday when I was reading the Malay newspaper, i came across the above-mentioned article which stated that Holland is going to ban Muslims and Jews (Jews use the same method to slaughter sheeps similar to Islam) from slaughtering sheeps or animals using the sharp blade & saying Allah's name-
أشهد أن لا إله إلاَّ الله و أشهد أنمحمد رسول الله
Ya Allah. .what is happening to this world? I am utterly outrage upon reading this article. I mean, how can they ban people from carrying out their obligations and what is worse is that the above act is associated with religion! Then how are the Muslims in Holland going to eat meat? They claim that electrocuting would not hurt the animal but I certainly and strongly believe that electrocuting them would cause more pain. How do they even know that electrocuting would not hurt? Have they ever electrocuted themselves? Imagine all the waves of electricity gushing down your blood stream. The searing paing, the excruciating agony that the animal has to bear during the approximately 15 seconds interval during electrocuting. Furthermore, when electrocuting, the animal would not immediately die but would still be conscious for that brief period. So try to empathise with the poor animal. That 15 seconds would not mean anything to you but in that 15 seconds, the electrocuted animal would be overwhelmed and afflicted with intense agony.
Adding on, without saying Allah's name, the meat would immediately be haram & these people think that slaughtering the sheep according to the Islamic Shari'a law is inhumane but I have evidence to prove that it is not. I have watched the above meritorious videos (you must watch! It is amazing & miraculous, Subhanallah!) and as you can see (if you have watched), when the man utter Allah's name, the sheep immediately submits itself to Allah. There is no sense of terror, petrified or fear. Even the sheep knows that Allah is the Most Great and willingly sacrifice itself to be slaughtered for Allah. Therefore, what was being propound by the government of Holland is indeed insensible, inhumane and illogical.
Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 7:
خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
"Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment." {7}
Surah Al-Anam, verse 118-119:
فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ بِآيَاتِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
So eat of (meats) on which Allah's name has been pronounced, if you have faith in His Signs.
وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلاَّ تَأْكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ
Why should you not eat of (meats) on which Allah's name has been pronounce
وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلاَّ مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ
when He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you -- except under compulsion of necessity
