#Justareminder
For those of you who have been partying all night long and being too happy during this new yr. . just remember. This new year, it means that 1 year has passed. Don't be too happy as you have to realise that we are being closer to the Hour and Death. Every minute, every second matters. Think about it. What if you were to die today, tomorrow? What if you were to die NOW?
My beautiful 2012(':
Yesterday was amazing subahanAllah. It was my first time spending the last hours of 2011 with the ummah of beloved Nabi Muhammad S.A.W, out in the open space (at YCK stadium) and at night, we managed to sit under the Moon and the Stars witnessing our 'celebration'. I did not regret going for the syarahan and in all honesty, this is my first time actually going for a syarahan voluntarily! Alhamdulillah ya Rabb. During the event, masyaaAllah there were many pious people (you can see the Nur from their faces glowing). All the men, women, kids and teenagers dressed up appropriately and modestly ya Allah. I love to look at them and how they dress! If you were to compare these Muslims to all the people who were down for countdown party, they dressed up so plesantly for the eyes to look at, unlike those who wore skimpish clothing. The most beautiful part of the event was sending salams to Rasulullah S.A.W. We actually recited some Qaseedas, selawats and heard the recitation of surah An-Naba' from this young boy who has the most beautiful voice(': I am sooo blissful and in a frenzy state of euphoria. . I am so happy that I managed to send loads of salams and selwat to beloved prophet S.A.W! I miss him so much Wallahi :( I hope that he will be happy to see how his ummah was sending him selawats and praising Allah SWT! After that, there were some ceramah and syarahan by certain ustaz pertaining to how we should improve ourselves and set our direction in order to embrace this new change to 2012. What I've learnt was that you need:
- Ilmu
- Zikir & selawat byk2 ke Rasulullah S.A.W
- Improve your akhlak with ppl (if not ppl would hate you & wouldn't want to mix ard with you)
- Tahajjud
- Spread Da'awah (don't just spread only to Muslim ppl, spread to non Muslims also!)
- Jihad Feesabilillah (struggle for the sake of Allah SWT)
InsyaaAllah on this day 1 Jan 2012, I will strive to be a better muslimah for the sake of Allah SWT! I love you Allah SWT & Nabi Muhammad S.A.W <33333333
Forever in my heart(':
For now, my inspiration will be Rabiatul Aadawiyah: I want to become like her- Wali Allah (minus the not marrying part! :P)

Disillusioned
I am sooo confused right now, really, I swear I am. I just log into Tumblr and all those politics stuffs (as usual) flooded my dashboard. I tend to follow human rights activists and politically active bloggers who really knows the hell what is going on in the countries that are suffering from injustices. Apparently, I just got to know from this favourite political, Syrian blogger of mine, that some of the photos being reblogged on tumblr about the Palestinian cause are not ALWAYS from Palestine. Some of them originated from Syria but ignorant people tend to just reblog those photos without checking the source. Well, what i believe is that it is absolutely unfair for the Syrians to suffer and for people to just label the photos under the sufferings of the Palestinians. I wish I haven't been reblogging such photos from Syria and just claiming it to be under the Palestinian cause. Sigh, maybe my knowledge about the world is not wide enough :( I guess I have to read up more. And another thing, I always wonder if being an anti semite. . is it acceptable? I know being anti Semitic is all about hating Jews and discriminating them which is equivalent to racism but isn't the Jews 'kaum yang terlaknat'? Even Allah SWT mention alot about the Jews in the Quran and how merekalah kaum yang terpaling terkutuk di sisi Allah kerana mereka sombong terhadap Allah SWT. They also kill prophets and merekalah musuh ummat Islam and when the Hour comes, the Muslims will be fighting with the Kuffars (led by Al Masih Ad Dajjal) and the army will consist of Jews (and other kafiroons). However, Nabi Muhammad S.A.W once mentioned that, "You should know that no Arab is superior over a non-Arab and, no non-Arab is superior over any Arab, no white is superior over black and no black is superior over white. Superiority is by righteousness and God-fearing [alone]." (Ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 411). Hence, is anti-semitism allowed? I am so confused right now. Sigh, I have already told my friends that I will create a post relating to the Palestinian conflict but when I see how shallow my knowledge is about zionism and stuffs and with the INTELLECTUAL POLITICAL ACTIVISTS following my Tumblr (who knows more shit than me), I might be subjected to disapprovals and more hate messages. So, I'm so sorry. . for now, I will have to build up my knowledge about the Palestinian conflict, Syria and more. i apologize for the inconvenience caused. When things & disagreements on Tumblr have subsided, I will try my best insyaaAllah to post an entry explaining zionism, palestinian conflict and stuffs. If Allah wills(: I hope Allah will answer my questions and doubts in my heart by guiding me :(

For Allah's sake.
“One will not be a true believer unless he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa’i, Ahmed and Ibn Majah)
Let me give an example. Being a child, of course he will always need his mother & presence of his mother. Once his mother is absent from his sight, he will cry and feel scared, lost and hurt. Same goes for us. Allah is our caretaker, our Guidance, He is our Everything. Once you've lost Him, there is no way You are going to find Him. . except only if He wills and with his Hidayat. Ever wonder why rich singers and superstars these days such as Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse and more always seem to be taking drugs, going in and out of jail repeatedly? Well, they do not have Allah's guidance. That is why they feel empty inside and hence resort to all these bad habits to fill up the huge space and vacumn within them. It is true what Allah says in surah 22:46 that "It is not the eyes that are blind, but it is their hearts which are in their breasts." Allah is all we need my friend. Allah is "The Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah does guide whom He will to His Light" (An Nur:35) (This is my most fav ayat in the Quran btw! :D)
I am very thankful that Allah has guided me to Him, to His love, to where I initially belong. I hope Allah continues to guide me and my friends. I hope that all of you will receive His guidance and remember! Always pray for Him to guide You as once you've lost His Light, your soul will always be lonely forever and darkness will engulf you. That will be the most magnificent loss you will ever experience till you die :'(

Dimana kan ku cari ganti serupa denganmu?
I just have to say what is on my heart and mind lately.. . I miss Rasulullah S.A.W ;'(
I know, some people might find this ridiculous (the kuffar) as they will think that we muslims have never seen Rasulullah S.A.W before and therefore how can we miss him?
But when you know his struggles and sacrifices that he faced just for his ummah. . it is enough to make you touched, humble and sad. His stories are all masyaaAllah heart-warming and his character is subahanAllah- even words cannot describe his character. I really miss Rasulullah S.A.W :'(
Whenever I am on Youtube, I will always watch this show series called "Law Kana Bainana" (If the beloved were among us) and they will interview certain people and ask them about their reactions if Nabi Muhammad S.A.W is alive and were to sit with us for 1 minute. Everytime, I watch this show, I will always cry and imagine what will I do if Rasulullah S.A.W were to sit infront of me? For me, if Rasulullah S.A.W was infront of me, I would cry non-stop first because of the embarassment that I feel for being such a bad muslimah and cry because of his beauty- as radiant as the white moon. Then I would ask him to read the Quran together with me just for that 1 minute. . I would be so blissful and at peace. No words would ever be able to describe my emotions. I am sure all the baraqah and blessings will come if Rasulullah is with us right now.
If Rasulullah is with me right now, he can guide me to become a better muslimah. .He can guide my family. Especially my family ya Allah (but of course, Allah is the One who guides us ultimately). .What has become of us ;'(
I believe that his ummah would be in good hands. . but look now, the Muslims are being oppressed in Chechnya, Palestine, Iraq and more. Masjidil Al Aqsa is calling for our help. But all I am doing now is just watching the pain and anguish suffered by my brothers and sisters. How heartless I am? If Rasulullah S.A.W were among us now, the world would be illuminated irridescently just like the luminous stars twinkling in the velvet sky. I really hope that I can meet Rasulullah S.A.W during the akhirat. I really hope that I can stand near him at the Padang Masyar but then again, who am I to wish for all these when there are more pious people who deserve them all? :( I really miss you Ya Rasulullah ;'( I really do.
Selawat ke atas Nabi.
*Sorry for the bad grammar & vocab. .I just want to express my most humblest feelings in my heart.

Change is the only constant.
Yesterday when I was on my Twitter account, my cousin sent me this msg:
So I asked her what did she meant by that. She told me that I was different in the sense that my attitude has changed as compared to the old me. I didn't know that the change was drastic. Wallah hu 'alam but all I hope for is that I can constantly improve myself and be a better muslimah, insyaa Allah.
Note to self: Death can happen anytime

Shameful or shameless?
Usually, I don't read the news posted on Stomp.sg as I find some of them really petty, trivial and unnecessary. However, while I was browsing the web in order to scout for news pertaining to problems that encompass Singapore, I came upon this article which really caught my attention. What really irks me is the fact that images of WOMEN are being seen blatantly displayed on the walls near to the men's urinals. Immediately, these thoughts came to my mind:
1. Do those images aim to cater the sexual desires of the men?
2. Does shame and embarrassment still exists?
3. Is it even necessary to put up those images? What are the benefits that can be derived from it?
Personally, I believe that this act is utterly appalling and degrading. Why is there a need to display pictures of women in TOILETS? I feel that toilets are suppose to act as a private space where one can do his/her personal, private matters in there. With this images being displayed boldly, they can actually desensitize oneself to shame. The very reason why toilets exist (apart from cleanliness matter) is because we do not want to see people doing their business outside in the open, publicly which can incite many outrage and contorversies. The existence of toilets also demonstrate how most people are aware that doing their private matters openly would humiliate them hence causing them to feel shameful. Shame is a good thing as it urges people to become modest. Now, whoever it was that came up with this 'brilliant' idea can actually desensitize and diminsih the element of shame in individuals (except those who are pious and of the good believers). No more will they feel the need to feel shy when doing their private business as everyday, they are ultimately going to be exposed and be 'seen' by the 'women' in the toilets.Maybe at first, they might feel shy and all that but as time flies, they get used to seeing those images and hence do not feel humiliated or shy anymore.
And heck, why are pictures of WOMEN being featured on walls of toilets? Being a female myself, I admit that I do feel offended. As we know, toilets are filthy places where bacteria and germs breed. Toilets act as symbols of dirt, thrash and foul. By openly displaying images of women in toilet. . .what does it suggest?? That women are filthy, dirty individuals? Bullshit. Where is the 'human rights' and 'women rights' advocates? Someone should really look into this matter and as women we must fight for our honour and dignity. Fortunately, this kind of designs are not seen in Singapore, YET. I totally disagree with the comment above. I hope Singapore will not invest money into making toilet designs that are silly, irrational and stupid. Please, this is for the sake of all the respectful women and men in the world.

Hijab.
"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed."
Surah An-Nur [24:31]
It is final. I am finally going to cover my hair by wearing a hijab and preventing myself from being subjected to the male gaze insyaAllah permanently. Well, actually I already have the intention of wearing the hijab (check my previous posts). It is just that I don't know when and how to start. I keep telling myself that "Yeah I will start once university starts" but then I started to think about death and how I can be consumed by death any minute now. I know it is abit morbid and perturbing but it is the harsh truth that everyone has to face even if they despise it. So yesterday I was supposed to go for the Praxis briefing at Masjid Sultan together with Fatin and Shahirah. Initially, I was unaware that the briefing was to be held in a mosque until Shahirah told me and asked if whether I will be wearing the hijab. So I contemplated for a moment and agreed.
When I wear the hijab, I feel so safe and wonderful and I didn't feel like taking it off after that. For the first time in my life when I walk past a group of mats and banglas, they did not even disturb me or stare at me causing me to feel uneasy. I was so comfortable and I know that Allah SWT is protecting me. So my heart suddenly told me to start wearing it already. At that moment, I still feel scared and unsure so I kept thinking about it the whole night only to find myself unable to sleep peacefully. I prayed to Allah to guide my heart and alhamdulillah my heart told me "just do it, there's no more time to waste and insyaAllah Allah will guide you once you initiate the first step." Today, I want to tell my mum that I want to wear the hijab forever but I was just too shy and scared (I have no idea why) but then I decided to get some courage and in the end, I told her that my heart is sincere about wearing the hijab. So we went to Geylang and she bought for me a couple of pashminas and shawls so that I can wear. This Saturday, I will be having a camp and insyaAllah I will be wearing the headscarf 24/7 during the camp as a test. I still feel scared that people will judge me. I still feel scared that my friends would not accept me. I still feel scared due to the obscene pictures of me without headscarf on Facebook. I still feel scared about the new change that I am undergoing but I hope that Allah will help me in this. InsyaAllah, I hope that anyone reading this please don't judge me and do not judge the sisters who are not wearing hijab. I hope Allah SWT will guide us through all this and make us into better muslims in the future. Amin ya Rabbal alamin.

Prom.
Anyway, I just want to say that the person who deserves most credit should be Athirah. She helped me ALOT for my prom: from the make-up, to ironing my dress, hair and more. I personally believe that without her, my prom would be a disaster and not forgetting my beloved mum(: Speaking of which, I came to realise that I have seriously ALOT to learn. I need to learn how to acquire and equip myself with daily skills in life or else I won't be able to survive in this world :( See what education (merely by studying out of textbooks) has done to myself. I believe that I lack the practical skills needed. This is worrying :/
I'm currently dropdead tired now typing this. I don't know why but I tried to prolong my sleep and wake up at around 10am but my body seems to be automatically functioned to wake up at around 8am everyday (even though I wake up at 6 for Fajr, then try to sleep but ending up waking up at 8). I'm suppose to go for dance but I am too tired. I probably will be meeting Fatin & Shahirah later for some Praxis briefing and just to chill.
P/s: Many gabazillion thanks to Athirah & of course (my mum, lol) for helping me out for my prom!
May Allah bless you and reward you for all the good deeds that you have done(:

Tyranny of One, Tyranny of All
Anarchy — An Abused Concept
Written by Darrell Anderson.
Unfortunately, politicians, the media people, and other interested parties have distorted the meaning of the word. The philosophy of anarchy is one of the more maligned and misunderstood philosophies. The definition of anarchy has been highly politicized.
Most people today carelessly use the word to mean bomb-throwing, unlimited boundaries, chaos, and disorder.
Anarchy merely means no rulers — nothing more and nothing less.
William Godwin often is credited as the founder of philosophical anarchism, with his book An Enquiry Concerning Political Justice (1793). He lived during the 18th and 19th centuries. He married Mary Wollstonecraft who wrote “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” (1792). They were the parents of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the author of “Frankenstein.”
There were several philosophical anarchists during the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of the more widely known names are Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, Mikhail Bakunin, Peter Kropotkin, Max Stirner, and Emma Goldman.
Some people think that anarchy basically resolves to extreme individualism. Extreme individualism would be more properly labeled as egoism — a philosophy popularized by Max Stirner. The philosophy of anarchy is interestingly split into several major branches: anarcho-individualism, anarcho-socialism, anarcho-capitalism, anarcho-mutualism, anarcho-communism, and anarcho-syndicalism. These terms should not be confused with politicized capitalism, politicized socialism, politicized communism, unionism, economic capitalism, philosophical socialism, philosophical communism, Marxism, or egoism. Although basic anarchy theory allows for extreme individualism, most rational anarchists accept and embrace that humans are social creatures that would have a difficult time surviving without one another.
All proponents of the various twists of anarchy contain their own perspectives for overall social order and justice, but there is one element of their theories embraced by all — rule by none. All social relations are based upon voluntary persuasion and cooperation, not force and coercion.
Much confusion arises because many people incorrectly believe that “rule by none” is synonymous with bomb-throwing, unlimited boundaries, chaos, and disorder. Yet, such a connection is incorrect. Anarchy does not mean “without rules.” Anarchists strongly support and embrace social order and justice. They merely reject the concept that any specific group of people can be appointed, elected, or trusted to provide social order and justice. Anarchists reject centralized political processes. All anarchists reject processes of political privilege and political systems are nothing but processes of such privilege. Anarchists reject any process whereby property titles are created through political privilege instead of true free association and voluntary exchange.
Anarchist theory can be reduced to a simple question: are humans generally benevolent or evil? If humans essentially are good then no centralized political process is necessary to regulate human action and no justification then exists for the philosophy of statism. If humans essentially are evil, then no human can be entrusted to provide protection and all centralized political systems are doomed to failure because of that corrupt nature. Anarchists therefore argue that whether good or evil the only rational route to follow is to allow free association and voluntary exchange.
Essentially that is what anarchist theory is all about: free association and voluntary exchange. Philosophical anarchists do not encourage violence, overthrow, or civil war, they merely want to be left alone to form their own relationships and communities. They reject the idea that other people possess standing to rule them. They are strong believers in self-government and self-regulation. Because they embrace social order and justice, they believe in some sort of process to ensure and provide that order and justice. They merely reject self-appointed nannies and political processes to provide those goals. Although philosophical anarchists reject initiating violence, most embrace the concept of self-defense.
Anarchists strongly believe in boundaries, especially property boundaries created through free association and voluntary exchange. Thus, all common trespasses, such as murder, theft, fraud, rape, etc., are condemned.
As might be surmised, anarchists of all natures are anti-war. The reason is not because anarchists are pacifists — most are not because they believe in the concept of self-defense, but because most if not all wars are political in nature and are nothing but thin veils for imperialism and economic exploitation.
Of course, there are always exceptions to the generalities, but this introduction fairly summarizes the concept of philosophical anarchy.
Several questions often arise even if people accept this basic introduction.
First, what about the so-called violent anarchists, particularly those of the late 19th and early 20th centuries? Second, without force and coercion and the threat of violence, how do people provide certain goods and services that are difficult to coordinate?
The first concept to understood is the meaning of anarchy. Based upon the previous introduction, one should notice that if violence is involved then the people promoting that violence probably are not philosophical anarchists. However, one must carefully examine every story. Humans are animals, and if pushed hard enough will recoil like an animal. Anarchists are no different and most believe in self-defense, even if that self-defense is violent. However, generally, anarchists prefer to vote with their feet and prefer to avoid conflict as much as possible. They merely want to be left alone to be self-governing and self-regulating. They detest self-appointed nannies and processes of privilege.
That desire to be left alone does not mean all immigrants into the United States were philosophical anarchists, but one should not be surprised if many of them were. During the great immigrations of the 19th century, many people were leaving oppressive political environments and moved to America. Although America began sliding the slippery slope during the War Among the States, arguably, America still was the best place to escape until World War I.
Within America, probably the two most widely known cases of violence with respect to the topic of anarchy are the Chicago Haymarket Riots and the Italians Sacco and Vanzetti.
Both events centered around labor movements.
The 1886 Haymarket Riots started after a bomb was thrown at demonstrations promoting an 8-hour work day. Some of the speakers that day were noted anarchists. Nobody ever discovered who threw the bomb, but the fact that some of the speakers were anarchists meant that the political elite automatically blamed the bombing as an anarchist event. Several policemen died from the bomb.
There was no evidence against the eight men who were convicted of the bombing. Their only feature was they were acknowledged anarchists. The trial was strictly political. Politicians could not afford anarchist theory to become popular and the newly found group of industrial capitalists did not want to deal with labor unions and 8-hour work days.
Sacco and Vanzetti were involved with the local labor movements in their area, but they had no criminal records prior to the trials. Both men were known political agitators and anarchists. The Sacco and Vanzetti trials were highly politicized and to this day, many people reject that either man was guilty of the bank robberies and murders in which they were charged. Bear in mind that the trials were held shortly after World War I and the 1919–1920 “Red Scare.”
Anarchists who defend unionism and labor movements often are called anarcho-syndicalists. Their basic complaint is the inability to act through free association and voluntary exchange. The problem is politics and the legal fiction of corporatism. Modern corporatism is a political mechanism of privilege and status.
The primary purpose of incorporating is to avoid legal responsibilities and to create a legal fiction through which people can create a veil of protection and political privilege. Philosophical anarchists believe and embrace free association and voluntary exchange and political corporatism blocks those avenues. Nobody likes going to “work for the man,” and anarchists are no different. However, when the entire market is politicized — and thereafter highly regulated and controlled, most people have no choice but to work for the man. In other words, because of political corporatism, many people are forced to become a wage-slave instead of being able to be a proprietor or artisan. The little guy rarely can compete with large corporations and those corporations are protected by politicians. There are many complicated parallel and tangent issues involved, but that is the basic picture about anarcho-syndicalism. They are people who are fighting to keep the family farm, small shops, etc.
Unfortunately for the name of philosophical anarchy, often anarcho-syndicalists resort to violence as a means of achieving their goals. However, once anarchists migrate into using the realm of politics and violence to achieve social and political change, they no longer are philosophical anarchists but statists and terrorists. Anarchists do not believe in force and coercion, but free association and voluntary exchange. This simple distinction is important. The moment violence and politics is involved then stop using the term anarchist and find a more appropriate term to describe the individual involved.
Exercising violence as a mechanism of self-defense is one thing, but when violence is used to coercively convince other people of certain human action, then people have crossed the line of philosophical anarchy and are acting like statists and terrorists.
Unionism and syndicalism were natural outgrowths of the politicization of business and free trade. Although voluntarily forming a union falls under the large umbrella of free association and voluntary exchange, the true solution is not unionism but removing politics from business and trade. That root cause solution has not yet been realized and instead people continue to patch symptoms and pick at the scabs rather than treat the disease — politics and statism.
Politicians become the snakes they are because that is their nature. To justify their existence they need to exercise fear, uncertainty, and doubt to keep people scared. The politically elite will pursue any event that will further the illusions that keep the masses blind and ignorant. Anarchists realize that social order and justice are not the same thing as statism and politics. Philosophical anarchists typically are well read people, intelligent, and peaceful. They are people who refuse to be fooled by the monkey business known as politics and statism. Anarchists realize that what politicians masquerade as justice is not justice at all.
What can be seen throughout history is if a majority of people are kept ignorant, they often will be unable to render intelligent decisions. The Haymarket and Sacco-Vanzetti trials were highly politicized and the ignorant masses were easily encouraged to support political agendas rather than seek true justice. Ignorance to such a wide effect is called “herd mentality.”
Pay attention to how the politicians and media people talk whenever politics and violence overlap. Often they refer to such violence as anarchy, when rightfully, they should be referring only to violence and conflict. Unfortunately, the ignorant masses who have been dumbed down for decades, accept this incorrect reference to anarchy. Thus, today, anarchy is a despised word by many people. However, the politicians, bureaucrats, media people, and the politically elite desperately need such illusions in order to control people. If people became more knowledgeable they would realize the politicians are unnecessary. Just like that, the politically privileged would be out of a job and would have to find honest work instead of depending upon the illusion of coerced wealth redistribution. That observation summarizes why the word anarchy must be highly politicized and discredited.
Based upon all of this, one should realize that every human is an anarchist to one degree or another. Many people travel without using seat belts, for example. Many people look for ways to avoid the status quo and the numerous nonsensical statutes. The only difference is each person must decide individually the risks versus the perceived benefits of various actions.
The other common question is how to provide certain goods and services that are difficult to coordinate. There is a wonderful adage that if you get people to ask the wrong question you don’t have to worry about providing the correct answers. The question about coordinating common goods and services is not a political question but an economic and social question — a question of coordination.
The right to freely associate necessarily implies a right not to associate. Whenever the right not to associate is exercised, there will be coordination challenges. Try to imagine, for example, if you were forced to marry an individual that you did not want to marry. That person faces a coordination problem in finding a spouse, but your right not to associate necessarily negates that desire for that individual. Nobody would support the idea that anyone may be forced into marriage, but strangely, many people argue that other activities can and must be forced upon people. Anarchists reject that foundation. Just as there is no such thing as being partially pregnant, anarchists argue that there is no such thing as partially free association.
If one understands basic philosophical anarchist theory, then one realizes that anarchists embrace social order and justice, but most importantly, free association and voluntary exchange. Political process are all about coerced association and involuntary exchange.
Of course, the most common way of providing those commonly used goods and services is through taxation. Taxation, simply put, is a coerced levy or taking of property.
However, by phrasing the ancient challenge of large-scale economic and social coordination as a political question instead of an economic and social question, the ignorant masses are educated and convinced that forced takings and theft under the color of law is not only acceptable, but to be promoted. So much so that many people have no qualms about jailing or shooting other people if they refuse to pay “their fair share.” Anarchists reject such thinking.
Many thinkers and authors have addressed the issue of providing for commonly used goods and services, although generally, the politically elite are rather proficient at quashing such discussions. Although there might exist coordination problems with providing some of those goods and services, the better question to ask is whether facing coordination challenges is such a bad thing as opposed to coerced takings of the fruits of labor. Anarchists say no, they would rather live with coordination problems than live with the nonsense of being forcibly deprived of their property and products of their labor. Would you rather marry by your free will or through force and coercion? The argument is the same.
Thus, for philosophical anarchists, the question is not one of obedience, but one of sanity. Which social system best promotes social order and best reduces conflict and violence? Anarchists believe a social system of free association and voluntary exchange provides the better solution. No philosophical anarchist believes that there is such a thing as a perfect social or legal system, they merely believe that free association and voluntary exchange provides fewer problems. What also should be seen to those who do not buy the lies of politicians, is that anarchists are not violent people. The politicians and bureaucrats are the violent people. They are the ones who operate under the illusion of the color of law and coercively take from the labor of other people.
Someone once wrote that there are only two political theories that are perfectly consistent: anarchy and totalitarianism. The former embraces free association and voluntary exchange and believes that each individual is the sole owner of his or her self. Totalitarianism rejects those beliefs. In between the two theories is the hodge-podge of convoluted political theories and compromises.

I'm like a bird, I wanna fly away~
Since I am having my long holidays and instead of rotting at home and going into a tumult of housekeeping, I should instead invest my energy into doing something healthy and productive. I guess I will be helping out my 2nd CCA (which is Malay Cultural Society) with their Malay dance for 2012 open house. In this way, I will at least have something meaningful to do. On the 10-11, I will be attending another PRAXIS Camp at Pulau Ubin in order to broaden and force my brain to think critically. Hopefully the camp can expand my brain capacity and can help me write the NUS essay thingy. Tsk.
Speaking about NUS essay, I have decided to send in the application since my mum and dad scolded me :(
They were saying that other people would badly want the opportunity and here I am just simply letting the Golden opportunity go. They said that "Nilah orang takde usaha, orang lain nak masuk NUS tk dpt ni Munira just let the opportunity go." So I was like. . hmmm ok fine I should just try my luck who knows maybe I can get in :/ (the chances are like 1/100000, lol)
Anyway, I still don't have any ideas on what to write (ideology/ concept) this must be a challenging task for me. I was thinking about writing something pertaining to the government and politics but I don't have any solid daily life experiences to support my arguments. Quite challenging, hmmm.
Friday.
Friday:
Sent Nadz off to Thailand.
Stalk her & her family at Swensens.
Laugh like mad with Ath (:
Met Duee.
Went Town.
Happy Friday! :D

NUS USP.
I have thought about it and I don't think I would want to apply for the NUS scholars programme thingy.
I am required to write a 400-600 words essay about an ideology/concept (The first concept that came out of my mind was anarchy but I don't have examples to back it up) that appeals to me and I have to give relevant examples pertaining to my life relating to the concept. If my essay and application form is selected, I will be conditionally admitted into NUS USP (that's if my results are good). I must also stay for at least 2 years at NUS. That is tough man. No way will I be willing to stay for 2 years and not seeing my family. I think I will just wait and see my results. If Allah willing, then I can enter NUS insyaAllah (:

Ya Allah, I am so weak, so weak. When a calamity strikes me, I become depressed. I become angry. I become impatient. But you, Ya Allah, never left my side. You are always there, waiting for me to turn to you, to seek help from you, and waiting to help me. Forgive me Ya Allah. Forgive me, your hard-hearted, weak slave.
Pathethic Prom
Guess what. My dress tore. hahahahahaha biggest joke of the day. Well actually I was trying on my dress and I swear I didn't do anything rough to it. After taking off the dress, i saw that the freaking thread on that freaking dress. . pshh I don't even know how to explain. Here,
See those pattern thingy. Well, that's the dress' thread and there are like 3 distorted thread thingy which are obvious. This sucks omg I don't have anything to wear. I feel like buying a new dress but I don't have enough money. I only have $55 now. This is all my fault actually cos I choose to purchase an effing cheap dress with no quality. See what happens now. It's official that my prom will be a disaster.

Forever Falasteen.
Forever Falasteen.
InsyaAllah Al-Aqsa will be free :(
Anw, if you were wondering the meaning of the song currently playing on my blog (Sanakhudu) it actually means this. . .
We'll take our fights with them
We'll go as groups to stop them
We'll return our slain rights (territories)
With all force we'll push them out
With the weapon of truth,
we'll free the land of the free
We'll return the pureness of Islam to Al-Quds
After our weaknesses and humiliation
We'll never accept a slain part of our lands
We'll never leave them abit of our land for them to humiliate us with
The Earth will burst in flames and burn them
On Earth there are volcanoes that are boiling
It is a nasyid about jihad and this is dedicated for you Palestine <3
Dilemma
Ok, I don't know if I'm really in a dilemma right now or I just think & worry too much but I kinda regret buying the dress. Hais, actually I thought it is white in colour but turns out it is actually a greyish colour. I don't know whether my blazer matches the dress cos my sister told me that the blazer seems unnecessary and my brother too. To be honest, I suck at choosing dresses cos I don't really like wearing dresses :S Ahhhh seems like my prom is going to be a disaster (foreshadowing alert!). I don't even know what shoes to wear omg. I don't know whether I should let go my hair or tie it up/ I was thinking of wearing those black gladiator heels but my mum told me "No, you should wear high heels it is nice". My sister supported my decision. So, I don't know who to listen to. Uhhhhhh I hate it when I have to think so much >:(

Prom 2.
Yesterday I went out with Kiran in search for prom dresses again and guess what! I finally found the perfect dress for me which costs $40! How cheap is that! Actually, it is a toga and I was thinking of maybe dressing up as one of the Greek 'Goddess' cos it's simple and also stylish.
So what I need now is to buy the dress, gold ribbons/ belt/ accessories and I'm done :D
But since i'm wearing a small blazer (the dress is abit huge and abit exposing) I don't know if it will go well with the dress. . hmmm but nvm, I shall come up with my own style by wearing a black blazer and a white toga. haha

#Just Saying
I can't wait to start ngaji with Fatin, Maiyah and Shahirah. It's been a long time since I've read the Quran and if I do, I will always read the meaning instead of the Arabic words. Hmmm, i wonder if that's counted as reading Quran.
MUST WATCH!
I hope anyone who reads my blog will hopefully WATCH THIS VIDEO. It made me tear for awhile.
Islam is perfect but Muslims are not. Get that right people!
Spectacular Saturday

Niqabis.
لسلام عليكم
I really have great respect and admiration for Muslim women who wear the niqab. I really think they are beautiful and courageous inside as they are willing to cover their faces so as to submit to Allah SWT (InsyaAllah) and ignore a lot of harsh glares and stares. Their iman must be so strong. Hais, whenever I look at them, I feel so ugly inside and sad :( Well, last week I was walking to Causeway point and I saw this beautiful niqab lady with her small child. She was unloading her stuffs from the taxi and all the people at the taxi stand were staring at her. Some of them also gave her a very sinister smirk. I was like what the hell? Just because she choose to cover her face doesn't mean that you guys can look down on her. She could be beautiful inside (Wallahua'alam) and the fact that she choose to cover her face clearly shows how she wants to avoid the dirty male gaze and refuse to be oppressed or objectified as SEX SYMBOLS by men and society. I feel really sad when I see a lot of countries such as France, banning the niqab :( It is really insensitive of them to deprive one from his/her religious beliefs.
To be honest, this always makes me wonder why do guys always come and talk to me but instead of judging me for my inside, they will always judge me superficially. For example, whenever I am on Facebook, there will always be some idiotic guys who would compliment my looks (in a bad way, i'm not being arrogant) or ask me to do stupid bloody haram stuffs like making out or *censored*. I am actually extremely hurt when they do this and this applies to EVERY SINGLE GUY that I have met. What do you see me as? An effing sex object to satisfy your freaking disease of sexual desires?? Isn't my life sad? Well I think it is. Hmm, I think this is just a test for me as Allah wants me to wear the hijab? I don't know only Allah knows best. I have been thinking about this a gazillion times and Insyaallah I will wear the hijab once university starts/ (if i don't get into university) some other institutions. In the meantime. . .
Berniqab bukan kerana trend terkini ..
Berniqab bukan tunjuk diri alim ..
Berniqab bukan untuk merendah-rendahkan yang lain ..
Berniqab bukan utk perlekehkan Muslimin Muslimat ..
Jadi sebelum kau mulakan niqab di wajah ,
Niqabkan hatimu dulu ,
Niqabkan jiwamu dulu ,
Niqabkan lidahmu dulu ,
Niqabkan langkahmu dulu ..
Niqabkan hatimu dulu ,
Niqabkan jiwamu dulu ,
Niqabkan lidahmu dulu ,
Niqabkan langkahmu dulu ..
Kerana yang terselindung belum tentu terus berlindung ,
Yang berbuka belum tentu buka terus ..
Berilmulah sebelum kau beramal wahai sahabat ..
Yang berbuka belum tentu buka terus ..
Berilmulah sebelum kau beramal wahai sahabat ..

Prom.
For prom, I just want to appear simple (partly because of the lack of $$ LOL)
I am considering dressing up like Kristen Stewart. I think this look is so cool. She looks so laidback and down-to earth unlike those other glamouruous people wearing dresses that are too costly.
hmmm, I have no idea, you got any suggestions?
p/s: The theme is hollywood
This annoys me.

I just want to say something that is bothering my mind right now, so please bear with me :S Whenever, i'm on tumblr or whenever I open my Tumblr 's dashboard, I will never ever fail to see hate messages or messages criticizing a muslim for his actions or whatever you wanna call it. I feel that this is so disgraceful and embarassing. As Muslims, we are not suppose to hate on each other or discriminate them by belittling them. Islam teaches us about peace, not about sending hate messages and stuffs like that. For instance, if a person on Tumblr takes a picture of herself and she is not weraing a hijab, they willl be like "Why are you not wearing hijab? Omg you're haram." and stuffs like that. Well, heck who are you tell that person that he/she is haram, you don't even know them. Who are you to judge them man? If you wanna judge, judge your own self first. Look into the mirror and focus on your own imperfections and flaws. Everyone is imperfect in their own way and instead of zooming in and trying to amplify/magnify their ugly side, you should instead channel positive energy by advising them NICELY and not trying to make them feel so low and 'unholy'.
There's this quote from 'To Kill a Mockingbird': "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." (Harper Lee). I believe that this quote is so powerful and beautiful. Yes, yes yes that you have to empathise that person first before judging and even if you want to judge them, you shouldn't say out whatever evil things that can cause hurt to a person. The criticism can instead worsen the situation and he/she may feel depress. What happens is between them and Allah. Allah is the Most Exalted He is the ONLY ONE that is capable of judging us. Maybe he/she looks 'unholy' outside but Wallahualam maybe his/her inside is way beautiful than ours.
Ultimately, just remember that we are going to meet Him on the day of judgement and be judge. So, what's there to judge other people? Judge youself first before you will be judge by the Almighty, Allah SWT.

Yesterday was the day that I OFFICIALLY graduated from YJC. Well for me yesterday was the most happiest moment in history as I was FINALLY able to put away my books and rejoice life. Women in Literature was ok. . but still, as expected we kinda expect the unexpected since Cambridge chose to be nasty this year. There wasn't any poem but instead we were required to do either an unseen prose or drama so I decided to do the one on prose since we did prose for Disgrace and I had studied the analysis for dialogues. Actually, I kinda feel abit sad for leaving YJC. I'm not sad because i'm leaving my classmates (applies to SOME only, I will badly miss the rest D:) or anything, I'm just sad that I would not be able to see my beloved teachers anymore like Mrs Low, Mrs Sukir, Cikgu Noraida. Sigh, they have sacrificed ALOT for us and they are extremely good teachers. The experience in YJC had also change myself as an individual to a certain degree. No longer am I the 'scene' kid or whatever shit that I tried to align myself to be, I have actually discovered who I truly am deep inside. Amidst the studying, the sressing out and all the tense conflicts going on in YJC, those have tested me and pushed me to my limits thus forcing my true reflections and true colours to emerge. I thank God for this, Ya Rabb thank You Ya Allah :') The different people I meet also broaden my outlook in life as now I am aware that what you want cannot always exist and it is not possible to please everyone. So, just be yourself, trust your heart and hopefully Allah guides you in everything that you do.
Moving on, I decided to meet Athirah and Dwi yesterday after my paper as it has been like FOREVER since I met them. So we just chill and stuff and I feel very happy, thankful and blessed for having people like them by my side (: Ok, so the blissful moment was only for a temporary period of time and when I get back home. . . .
I think my house is becoming into a freaking haunted house :'(
Ya Allah today I will have to equip myself with Ayatul Kursi.
Please pray for my family and my safety. Jazakallah
1 huge hurdle down, another one coming. Brace yourself.

Baby are you down down down down down
I feel like a failure in life.
How can I screw up for H2 SEA History?
What are the chances of getting an 'A'? or maybe a 'B'?
The best thing is: I studied like mad and in the end I totally screwed it up.
I feel so sad, I feel so depress, I feel like shit
I dont feel like studying for the last 2 papers.
Ya Allah, I know that You are testing me but why am I so weak and useless. Why do I always let my emotions get the better of me when I am suppose to be patient and I know that You know what's best for me.
Please enlighten my heart and make the light in my heart extinguish all the darkness in it :'(

How to avoid anxiety
- The length of your life has already been decided upon, for everything takes place according to preordainment and decree. So there is no need to feel anxious in that regard.
- The decision of how much sustenance any one of us receives is with Allah alone: no one else owns that sustenance or has the power to take it from you.
- The past is gone and has taken with it its woes and miseries. It cannot return even if the whole of mankind worked as one unit to bring it back.
- The future is from the unseen world and has not yet arrived. It brings with it matters, showing no regard to your permission or feelings, so do not call it forth until it actually arrives.
- Doing good to others brings happiness to both the heart and the soul. A good deed provides greater benefits to the benefactor- in terms of blessings and recompense and peace- than it does to the receiver.
- Among the noble qualities of the believer is that he doesn’t concern himself with spurious criticism. No one has been saved from the curses and criticism, not even Allah, the Lord of all that exists, Who is Perfect and Exalted.

I know that A levels is currently going on now and I am not suppose to be logging into blogger but I really have to get this load off my chest.
So My A level examinations started last Wednesday and it wasn't a good start for me though. My General Paper was ok, not too easy, neither was it difficult but I musy say that the topics for the essay were ridiculous. All of them didn't appeal to me and there were alot of technical and scientific issues such as "Can travelling to space be justified". I was like "Waaaaaaaat?" Guess what, I bloody studied for technology, censorship and NEW MEDIA. NEW MEDIA, almost every school predicted that topic and in the end, OLD MEDIA came out. I was required to discuss the role of newspapers in my society in DETAIL and of course since I was insufficiently equipped with content on newspapers I crapped my way through :( Oh my gosh can life get any worse?
Actually, YES. Yesterday was my H1 Maths paper and History paper also. So, in the end, I had to sit for about a total of 6 HOURS and crack my brain :S Math sucks laa, I screwed everything up. The questions were difficult and I tell you the paper was killer. I recounted my marks and I guess that I would lose around 20+ marks. My hopes and aims of getting an A for Math are impossible laa, I don't know how to stop thinking about math. Math sucks laa, only the Bell curve can save my life now. To make matters worst, some of my friends actually admitted that the paper was manageable, oh my god I can just die on that spot :( Anyway, after getting super demoralized (thanks to math) I had to wait for another 2 hours before I could sit for my History paper. Since History is my strongest subject, I decided to score for history and be calm BUT. . .
I swear Cambridge is geting mad. What were they thinking when they were setting the paper??!! "UN peacekeeping efforts in CAMBODIA" ??!! Cambodia is a topic that was not AVAILABLE IN MY SYLLABUS. So, bottom-line is that, Cambridge tested us something that we have never learnt before. Wow, brilliant. Thanks Cambridge for ruining my entire Thursday. So the whole of Singapore couldn't do the source based question for History and hence, my history was screwed up also.
I am feeling very low and depressed now I don't feel like taking the other papers :S And guess what, just now I dreamt that Mdm Koh (my principal) called me into her office and she was like "Munira, what happened to you??? You got a "D" for General paper" Is that a foreshadowing sign that something ominous is about to happen?
I don't know laa, I just feel rock-bottom low :'(((((((
